A three day package with two days paddling, good food and an accommodation by our own.
We start this tour in the afternoon on dry land with a feast of fresh prawns from Grundsund's own trawler Atlantic, along with a light beer. This can be eaten in your apartment/small cottage or out in the open, maybe out on the sea cliffs above the harbour. Please feel free to bring other refreshments if you so desire.
The following morning starts with a light breakfast inside before heading south on a 1.5 hours paddle tour to Rågårdsviks Pensionat where a full breakfast awaits.
After breakfast you head north along the east coast of Skaftö, passing west Malö, Ängä, Flatö, Bassholmen and Bokenäset up to Gullmarn. We have water and fruit with us on board if an energy kick is needed. Once out on Gullmarn, our journey turns West-South-West toward Fiskebäckskil. We take a lunch stop at Lyckans jetty to eat a herring buffet at Brygghuset. After lunch we head back out to open water in a westerly direction past the northwest tip of Skaftö. Once out in the Gasö channel, we paddle south 1.5 hours, arriving back in Grundsunds harbour. After a good day's paddling of 20-25km we enjoy a first class evening meal at Pelles Restaurant, situated beside the kayak jetty. Here you can relax, enjoy the company and watch the sun setting behind the islands.
The following day you free time with the kayaks. Breakfast is in the fridge. Lunch is up to you - there are five restaurants on the island and two cafés. Apart from the restaurants that you’ll already have visited, the island offers several other cafés and restaurants: Smultron & Tång in Grundsund; Golfen, food and meetings in the middle of the island; Restaurang G in Gullmarstrand, Fiskebäckskil; Mareld café & bar and Café Syltrutan in Grundsund. If you prefer to be out on the water all day then you can order a basket lunch in advance.
This tour is available from 15 June - 31 August. If you prefer other days we put together a special tour from your ideas. If needed ask for a guide and add it when you do the booking.
