Hotel | Nordens Ark is located at the beautiful Åby Manor in the heart of Bohuslän and is a private non-profit foundation, working for the future of endangered animals. Hotel Nordens Ark offers comfortable accommodation in a beautiful location by the Åby Fjord.
The hotel is in a lovely location, near to both animals and nature. The rooms are light and modern, with comfortable beds, TVs and their own bathrooms. We have single rooms, double rooms and family rooms (for four people, two adults and two children), and also rooms for disabled people. An additional bed or a cot can be provided.
Just a stone’s throw from the hotel, you can swim in the fjord and there’s a boat jetty with an anchorage of almost 3 metres. When you stay at Hotel Nordens Ark, free entrance to the park is included both on your day of arrival and departure. You are welcome to visit the park from 10am, you can check in from 3pm and checkout is 10am at latest. Please contact us in advance for later heck in then 4.30pm on 0523-795 45. The front desk is unmanned after the park closes until 8am the following day. Breakfast is served between 8am and 9.30am.
In the park you will meet animals like snow leopards, Amur tigers, wolves, Lapland owls, Linderöd pigs, and many more. In the evening, you can take a walk in our Ecopark (there are maps at the hotel) or wander along the Soteleden trail which passes Nordens Ark. There are fine and varied walks along the Åby fjord and in the woods. On the manor’s lands you’ll find, among other things, Åbyhällen, one of the largest rock carvings in Bohus county, as well as Glose altar and the Nycander grave.
